| Art Poll --- Really really really appreciate a reply to this. |

So I'm going to post some of my pieces behind the cut and would like your opinions on which ones I should start with for some prints to sell on Etsy.
I'm thinking 3-5 to start with, so if you could give me your top ones, I'd appreciate it :)
Maybe like 3-7 of your favorites -- no more than 7, and if you could at least do a minimum of 3, that'd rock!
Thanks!
I'm kinda trying for a variety, so maybe some abstract, maybe some more "portrait"/actual person visible. Maybe some dark, maybe some light. So mix it up a bit if you can. :)
I'm worried some might not be as good as prints as they are as screenwork (due to size issues and distortion upon enlargement) but I guess we'll see.

"It’s also reflected in a study cited by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and other insurance industry defenders saying that 119 million Americans would bolt from their private insurers to the public option if they were given the chance.
To put that figure in perspective, it is about two-thirds of Americans who have private insurance through their employers or as individuals. In other words, the industry's defenders say two of every three customers want out.
Though some analysts doubt the defection rate would reach 119 million, Grassley’s argument is that Americans would so prefer a government-run plan that it would destroy the private insurance industry – and that therefore the public option simply can’t be permitted.
Grassley’s fear of 119 million Americans voting with their pocketbooks against private health insurance represents a remarkable admission of failure by the industry and its backers. It says, in effect, that the industry’s treatment of its customers has been so highhanded over the decades that the industry can only survive if Americans are left with the unappetizing choice of private coverage or no coverage."
I have a LOT of problems with the way we're going about this, but I'll take at least SOME method to allow people who don't have jobs, etc to be able to get affordable health care. AFFORDABLE!
Our system is so fucking broken. And I hate the fact that we have to pussyfoot around corporate interests to try to get even a tiny little sliver of justice. Such fuckin' bullshit. |

i think i cracked something in a good way. i was messing with my wrist where i could feel tension related to the numbness stuff i was talking about earlier. and i know i have this weird sort of double-jointed(?) type thingy (I shoudl take a video sometime so you can see/hear what i can do, it's pretty interesting) anyways...
i popped it somehow, and now my hand feels more loose. i can tell it could still get numb due to the tension in other areas of my arm and nerves (all the way up a point on my shoulder where the neck hits) but the point on the hand? That feels less tingly and more normal.
who knows if it will stay that way.
ultimately i need to see that physical therapist and masseuse. But til then i think... aww, shit, i moved my neck back and it hit this spot on my shoulder and it triggered it again. but it still feels looser, even if it's tingly. so that's better than it was.
meh. |

you think the potatoes on the last thing was weird...
when i was a kid, i would take hotdogs, put them in the bun, then spread a spoonful of mashed potatoes on top then squirt ketchup on. actually that was pretty good, if a bit... unorthodox. |

interesting day so far:
1) dealing w/tech support issues on two fronts, one seemingly resolved, the other waiting to hear from programmer... *sigh*
2) had OJ (and yeah, a sausage egg mcmuffin, but just one!) for breakfast.
3) apparently they're making sure no-one gets OT in the coming month or two? I don't really have that problem at this time of the year, but the assessors have to cut back to no more than 40 hours. How that's gonna make it at the end of the year when we have to bust ass to catch up??? I understand it's due to trying to make sure we don't have to pay out money that's not coming in, but... it's just more strain down the line! ugh. oh well.
4) umm, i think that's it. Oh it's fucking HUMID! And I don't particularly like that in combination with this almost 90 degree heat we've been having. Oh well.
5) looking into pygame for programming graviton, now. still not quite sold on it, but...
well here's what I want:
a) NO POINTERS! b) FULL SCREEN EASILY c) CROSS PLATFORM d) RESPONSIVE/FAST e) PREFERABLY COMPILED OR EASY TO PACKAGE TO RUN ALONE f) CLOSER TO C SYNTAX THE BETTER
And nothing fits that criteria exactly. So, I guess it's either learn python more, deal with pointers, or not have a good fast responsive full screen system (processing).
I'd really like a C-syntaxy language with whitespace (like python) without pointers. Someone invent that, please. |

chronic cannabis use induces hippocampus neurogenesis:
"It has been shown that acute, high doses of cannabinoids produce anxiety-like effects in rats and depression-like effects in mice. But chronic administration of high, but not low, doses of HU210 exerts anxiolytic- and antidepressant-like effects. This suggests that cannabinoids are the only illicit drug that can promote adult hippocampal neurogenesis following chronic administration. “This increase in hippocampal neurogenesis underlies the mechanism of anxiolytic- and andtidepressant-like effects produced by a high dose chronic HU210 treatment.”" |

Yes our cat kisses us.
She also bathes my goatee (though not in this clip).
For a while, she even was really into licking the inside of my ear!!! WTF? She is a WEIRD cat!
